Organised on the occasion of the European Crafts Days, this exhibition highlights to the general public as well as to professionals, the extent of the creativity, authenticity and mastery of French craftsmen’s skills.
For several years now, the CFMA – Confédération Française des Métiers d’Art, de l’Excellence et du Luxe – has been organising a major exhibition entitled “De Main de Maître”. It offers craftsmen the opportunity to exhibit their skills and creations to the general public for a few days. Founded more than half a century ago, the CFMA’s main role is to promote and defend the companies of the Métiers d’Art. Composed of 14 professional organisations, the CFMA represents a wide variety of crafts: from jewellery to leather goods, from crystal to ironwork, from ceramics to couture….
This year, the 2023 edition of “De main de Maître” should bring together some fifty exceptional craftsmen in the Bastille Design Center, a former 19th century hardware store. During these four days, jewellers, dressmakers, ceramists, cabinetmakers, enamellers, stained glass artists, etc. will pass on their excellent know-how and the enthusiasm of their trades through exchanges with visitors.
In addition to perpetuating our mastery and showcasing our passions and imagination, we will be ambassadors of the French authenticity that we hold so dear. We look forward to meeting you.
