Some encounters leave a lasting mark on the way we work. Our collaboration with photographer Sara Hamdine is one of them.
Sara, three years later
The first time our paths crossed with Sara's was in 2023. We were looking for a photographer and chance led us to her. This first photoshoot was a real favorite. Sara has a unique vision: bold colors, singular framing, and a way of making light dance that resonates intensely with Ciléa's identity. For us, color is a statement, and Sara knows how to enhance it.
When it was time to highlight our new creations, Alani, our limited edition hibiscus collection, and Pensée Viola, our delicate flower, the choice was obvious. We called Sara back, and she opened the doors of her studio in Angers for this session.
Moodboards and the quest for the perfect ambiance
Ambre dedicated herself passionately to the preparations. For weeks, she created moodboards to visually convey the emotion we wanted to express. The desired ambiance? Ultra-colorful, vintage, and resolutely joyful. Something that evokes the sweetness of an unforgettable summer. On D-day, Améline, Pauline, Ambre, and Sara worked hard to ensure everything was ready. The jewelry delicately arranged, the backgrounds selected, the lights adjusted... This suspended moment before the shoot where all the magic is yet to be created.
A window display, love at first sight: Tara Deva
For the wedding extension of our collection, we needed exceptional dresses. Passing by the Tara Deva boutique in Rennes, the stop was instinctive, drawn by the beauty of the models in the window. Once inside, Sonia welcomed us with tremendous enthusiasm. She immediately understood the challenge: to find understated dresses that would harmonize with Ciléa jewelry, which tends to catch the eye. Thanks to her valuable advice, we selected two gems. Two dresses of sober elegance, allowing our hibiscuses to express themselves fully.
Marilou, Paris, and the unforeseen events of live shoots
Finding the ideal model in Angers wasn't easy, so we invited Marilou from Paris. Her presence was an obvious choice, gracefully embodying the character of Ciléa jewelry. However, the day started with a little stress: her train was an hour and a half late. The timing suddenly tightened, forcing us to reorganize urgently, speed up the pace, and review our priorities. Thanks to the team's calmness and the makeup artist's efficiency, we absorbed this setback with a smile and without losing focus. It is also in these moments that we measure the strength and complicity of a team.
Ragnar, the surprise guest
Ragnar is Sara's charming cat. At a precise moment of the day, an instant etched in a burst of general laughter, Ragnar casually invited himself onto the set. In the midst of jewelry, precious dresses, and carefully dimmed light, he posed alongside Marilou. With his proud gaze, he seemed almost convinced that he was the main subject of the session. Unexpectedly, these impromptu shots are among our favorites.
What remains
From this beautiful adventure, we have a collection bathed in Sara's exact light that we had imagined. Tara Deva dresses that sublimated our pieces, the memory of Marilou's professionalism, and the sweet memory of Ragnar in our archives.
