The whisper of the eternal leaves
Once upon a time there was a thousand-year-old tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, which stood proudly in the heart of Japanese temples. It was said that it could hear the prayers of men and whisper their secrets through its leaves. The latter, similar to small fans, danced in the wind with an almost magical grace, as if each one carried a fragment of wisdom.
The ancients said that Ginkgo leaves were not ordinary: they held the power to transcend time. They symbolized resilience, eternity and hope, values rooted in Japanese culture, where the Ginkgo is revered as a sacred tree. Poets saw in their delicate curves a promise: that beauty never fades, even in the face of hardship.
The Original Ebisu Brooch: One Leaf, One Story
Inspired by these legends and the poetic breath of the Ginkgo, Maison Ciléa has created the original Ebisu brooch. Handcrafted in our Breton workshop, each piece captures the natural grace of this ancestral leaf. Its elegant curves, meticulously sculpted, seem ready to fly away, while its Émaline material gently reflects the light, like an echo of the sun's rays caressing the golden leaves in autumn.
