Ciléa material

EMALINE, A UNIQUE MATERIAL.

At first glance, one might think of enameled glass. The pearlescent sheen, the relief, the depth of color.

One expects weight, fragility.
And then you pick it up.
It weighs almost nothing. And it doesn't break.

That's Emaline. An exclusive resin invented by Stéphane Ravel in 1992, which has the appearance of enameled glass without any of its flaws. Lightweight enough to wear all day. Unbreakable. And found nowhere else in the world.

FROM LINE VAUTRIN TO STÉPHANE RAVEL

Émaline was born from a dual inspiration: Line Vautrin's Talosel, the enameled resin that the French sculptress used in the 1950s to create unique art objects.

And Stéphane's, who reinvented the process in his own way, in his workshop.

The raw material comes from Italy and France. Everything else happens in Rennes.

Ciléa Bijoux

LIGHTWEIGHT, UNBREAKABLE.

Emaline looks like enameled glass. It has the same shine, translucency, and veins. But it weighs almost nothing. A large brooch on your ear, worn all day, and you'll forget it's there. And it won't break.

That's why a Ciléa jewel can be worn for ten, twenty years, and passed down.

OVER 90 COLORS. ALL MIXED HERE.

The pigments are prepared in the Rennes workshop. This is why Ciléa's 90 colors exist nowhere else, and why no one can reproduce them identically.

AN EXCLUSIVE MATERIAL

Émaline doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. It is a registered material and is only reproduced in our workshop in Brittany. In recognition of this unique expertise, Ciléa Paris has been awarded the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Company) label, an official French state distinction granted to companies that perpetuate excellent artisanal know-how.
